The Gift(s) – Part 5: Are You Established?
September 6, 2010 | Author Cornel
Note: This is a 6 part series. Click here to read those parts:
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part3] [Part4] [Part 5] [Part 6]
Rom 1:11-12 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established — 12 that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. (NKJV)
Why does Paul want us to be established and what does he want us established in? From this verse it is clear that the establishment and encouragement is in their mutual faith. Remember in Part 4 how we saw that impartation came through one on one sharing? We all know faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Why do more people experience the gift of healing when we preach on healing? Because faith for healing comes by hearing about healing. Faith is imparted through words.
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach) NKJV
We preach the word of faith. It is near us, in our mouths and in our hearts. When you speak the Word of God from your heart, meaning being fully convinced of it supremacy and truthfulness, the people who hear you receive faith to believe for the very thing you are speaking about. That is one of the reasons why you are here: to impart faith to people to believe Jesus.
Rom 10:13-14 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? (NKJV)
You don’t have to be church leader to impart faith. If the Word of God, Jesus Himself lives inside you through His Spirit, you have the ability to impart faith to whosoever hears you proclaim His Word. Back to being established… If I only tell you about healing and don’t demonstrate it, your faith will rest merely on Bible knowledge. Then if somebody else comes along and with their knowledge tells you that healing has passed away and also uses the Word of God as their evidence, you will be thrown into confusion, not knowing who or what to believe. But, if I were to show you healing through scriptures and then also heal you, you will not be easily persuaded that healing has passed away because you have now experienced the power. You have both the knowledge and the experience. You are now established. It will take much more to persuade you otherwise. Look at the case in point below:
John 9:14-25 Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. 15 Then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see.” 16 Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them. 17 They said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.” 18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. 19 And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” 20 His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21 but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.” 22 His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. 23 Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” 24 So they again called the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give God the glory! We know that this Man is a sinner.” 25 He answered and said, “Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” (NKJV)
Jesus healed the blind man and the Pharisees tried to convince him that Jesus was not sent from God. They tried to speak lies about Jesus and tried to get the formerly blind man to stop singing Jesus’ praises. The man’s answer in verse 25 is just awesome. “Whether He is a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know: I was blind and now I see.” Further on Jesus meets up with this man again and reveals Himself as the Messiah. The man had no problem believing Jesus because power always backs up knowledge. Our knowledge is only in part and we might not have all the information, but when power is displayed, knowledge is confirmed or refuted. No matter what the Pharisees told the man, they could not change the man’s faith in Jesus. If the man never experienced the miracle, he would probably have been easily persuaded that Jesus was not the Messiah. That is why we preach kingdom dominion and the need for displays of power when preaching. Paul said the same thing many times:
1 Thess 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake. (NKJV)
Power brings MUCH assurance or entire confidence.
1 Cor 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (NKJV)
Our faith is to rest in the Power of God, not the theology of man.
Rom 15:18-19 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient — 19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. (NKJV)
There can be no sure establishment in the faith without the demonstration of the Spirit and the Power of God. That is why signs and wonders follow us, that is why we receive power after we are baptized in the Spirit. If your gospel is not followed with signs and wonders, you are not fully preaching the gospel. If you are not fully preaching the gospel, you are not establishing people in the faith. If you are not established, you are double minded, unstable in all your ways and it is very difficult to receive from God in this state. (See James 1:6-8)
Let’s end it here for now. I wonder if there will be a part 6…

Why Jesus say I am and some of us don't know who they are ?
Some say i am believer but what they believe not really means believer.
Some say i am christian but really don't know Jesus or walk like Him,
i writing this here not to condemn but to my reflection maybe yours to.
I looking on some stuff people wrote and i found some very interesting topics, and i really believe that can help people understand the definition of be believer,or be Christian , well to me believe is: even the devil believe, actually more of some us ,i know, be Christian not means be only believer, "is be" Christianity involve in act.
I not saying you need to do something to be Christian ,I saying is acting not only
i have i received and stay on your comfortable place of doing nothing, you are save
there? Yes you are, by Grace true faith.
Now, salvation is door to the kingdom who needs advance on the earth and you and me
are the one is qualified to do that because on what Jesus did, humm Jesus did that means there is acting on that.Look! What i saying in doing something is if you really love your neighbor you do something to reach then, Jesus say is finished on the cross yes He defeat the devil yes but still works of the devil to destroy on people life and you not need go far way to see that, who don't know Christ and is our job go on that.
How i can understand about have mind of Christ? well according the word i really suggest you to read the entire chapter of 1Cor 2 but here is some verse of that chapter can help you and me on understand
that .
But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual [words].
Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the ""mind of Christ.""
1 Cor 2:12-16 ASV
Were i want go is if we are in Christ we have the mind of Christ supernatural, but some souls(Mind)still not subjecting to that, even if they love Jesus they just not had revelation of what they have in spirit and way to manifest on natural is
renewing the soul(mind)and replace for the mind of Christ resulting walk in spirit
all the time Col2;6
Some people on this say well you want brain wash me , not really i really believe if God gave you brain is to be use, and when you use according His mind you use on
the level over of human can not do with out God. Those have mind of Christ know the mind of God and do what they see what the father doing.
How? true Holy Spirit fused in your Spirit flowing God power in you.
And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:
but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, "which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:"
1 Cor 2:4-7
I like to have attention when Paul say here "unto our Glory" that for me means partnership with God in John 17.
that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.
João 17:21-23
To me this is the Lords prayer were Jesus give us His glory to manifest and really make me understand we are the God glory here.
I looking on scriptures and there you can see Jesus saying I am , on the same way God say to Moses on the burning bush I am, and that really make me understand
you and me, in Christ become I am ,now look i not saying we are God, i saying the God I am, manifest in you and you can have that all the time if you walking on the mind of Christ.
He has endowed us with the same disposition, being born again by his Spirit; therefore we are capable of knowing his mind and receiving the teachings of his Spirit. These teachings we do receive, and therefore are well qualified to convey them to others.
Now here is some topics i really believe can help us to that. I found on this link http://www.gotquestions.org/mind-of-Christ.html
Having the mind of Christ means we understand God’s plan in the world—to bring glory to Himself, restore creation to its original splendor, and provide salvation for sinners. It means we identify with Christ’s purpose “to seek and to save what was lost” (Luke 19:10). It means we share Jesus’ perspective of humility and obedience (Philippians 2:5-8), compassion (Matthew 9:36), and prayerful dependence on God (Luke 5:16).
In the verses leading up to 1 Corinthians 2:16, we note some truths concerning the mind of Christ:
1) The mind of Christ stands in sharp contrast to the wisdom of man (verses 5-6).
2) The mind of Christ involves wisdom from God, once hidden but now revealed (verse 7).
3) The mind of Christ is given to believers through the Spirit of God (verses 10-12).
4) The mind of Christ cannot be understood by those without the Spirit (verse 14).
5) The mind of Christ gives believers discernment in spiritual matters (verse 15).
In order to have the mind of Christ, one must first have saving faith in Christ (John 1:12; 1 John 5:12). After salvation, the believer lives a life under God’s influence. The Holy Spirit indwells and enlightens the believer, infusing him with wisdom—the mind of Christ. The believer bears a responsibility to yield to the Spirit’s leading (Ephesians 4:29/30) and to allow the Spirit to transform and renew his mind (Romans 12:1-2/3)
I believe this can help us on this amazing journey releasing the kingdom of God on the earth much love in Him forever blessed.
(Observation this is not about the power of your brain or mind is about we have the mind of Christ and can go beyond of i tough here )

Today sit on coffee store and listen the Lord asking me do you think you loving,
enough?
That make me really exam my journey with Him and were i go i mean what is my vision.
How that can have effect like His kingdom on the earth?
What i have done is the right what i doing is right that share his love ?
The love inside me is unconditional. I manifesting that ?
Look this is not condemnation this is reflection because i want go forward and i want represent His kingdom like He say we are ambassador of Christ we represent Him. I chose that when i told Him come in my life be my King. He become my King that means i under His commands.
The greater thing on that is He is the greater King and never put over me weight over my shoulders to me accomplish His desires, well He have Kingdom and that needs be advanced here and we are the ambassadors who are empowered to that function, there is responsibility but not obligation .
The greater on that is more is advanced of the Kingdom here, more benefits we have , did you got that! When you push that forward you are the one have gain on that, is not rewards or medal's or position, is the goodness of the God taking place on the earth because you agreeing with Him.
What is the kingdom well we have lot references on the Bible one that is in Romans 14 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
For he that herein serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men.
Rom 14:17-18
Also Jesus Himself say: nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”[h]Luke17:21
Returning were is start about Love what one of the answer i got on His question for me i start understand His amazing love in another dimension maybe i tough before but not in position like that. The simplicity of His humbleness even if He is the King He not forcing you what He want just because He want you move by love is what He is .
We have job to do and the combustible for that should be love. And for me one form of Love is love others so when you go and when i calling even if way i calling you provoke you and maybe you misunderstand what i saying is because you are not were i am, on that situation seeing people dying and we have the answers and stay resting on His greater power to love others, He dwell in us that for me means action .

WIN!
(This is Andrew Walsh, Coelho asked me to write for him what happened.) Yesterday i went to his house to visit him and his family. We went to Walmart, it is like Disney-land for Christians, prayed for a ladies sternum, she said she cracked it. She was on pain medication so she said she wouldn't know if she was healed on the spot.
Today we went to Lolas supermarket. Coelho wants to clean his carpets, so in the parking lot he found a brand new bottle of carpet cleaner :D We walked inside and prayed for a man with a cane. He had a pinched nerve on his back. After Coelho prayed for him he was able to walk without a cane. Later found out his wife had cancer. So while Coelho commanded the cancer to leave her body i asked the man if there was anymore pain. So we commanded the rest of the pain to leave his back, and he was 100% healed. After Coelho was done praying for the wife, she said she felt a fire, or a heat, where the cancer was. Coelho was commanding the cancer to burn up in Jesus name.
After we walked back to the car we saw the man and his wife again. I grabbed the chair Coelho had in the back of his car. We sat the man down and found out a leg was shorter than the other one. About an inch shorter in length. Coelho said "grow" and it did :D So now both his legs are even in length. He felt a difference when he stood up and walked!
win!
On the way back to his house we went to dominos to pick up pizza for us and his family. There we saw a lady ordering. she began to share about all her pains and that she had cancer. After over hearing, Coelho talked to her and kicked the cancer off her. She said she felt a tightness in her neck where the cancer was. She also said she felt a heat too. While we waited for our pizza i got to listen to her story and whats she is going through and i spoke hope into her life and what Jesus can do for her.
Win!
Then we came home for lunch. The phone began to ring. It was a couple, they were friends of the other couple we ministered to in Lola's supermarket. They recommended us to a friend (This is how you know it works, when people recommend you to people they love.)
When they called us we met up with them. At first they thought we were witch doctors. "Curandeiros" They are Spanish speaking. We told them we are Christians.
When we went there we asked them what happened. The man had a really bad pain that went down from the back of his leg, and into his foot. He couldn't walk without a lot of pain.
Then Coelho heard in his head. "This is not going to happen". Then Coelho told me to pray for him.
After 2-3 times he was completely healed. He became full of joy when he could move and bend his foot.
This is the gospel, that we can bring freedom because Jesus suffered so they dont have to. That we can tell a man who could not walk, "your free, you can walk again, with no more pain".
After his leg was healed, he shared with us that he also had prostate cancer. Coelho began to pray for him and he said he felt a burning inside him and his back. Then we gave them a bible to them and Coelho explained the gospel and Jesus. They both had a catholic background, and they received Jesus and were filled with the Holy Spirit.
Win all the time!!!
We are more than conquers through christ. Romans 8:37
